With over 40 years in the business, Emess Car Service is now actively looking for new drivers to handle the influx of jobs that we are receiving. We currently have over 250 cars but cannot cover our workload.
-Hardly any dead-mileage as 60% of our pick-ups are within 200m from previous drop-off

Do I need experience?
You must be experienced, enthusiastic, reliable, have a good knowledge of London and speak good English. You will need a Transport for London private hire licence (formerly known as a PCO Licence).
How much income can I generate?
The answer to this question is completely in your hands. Naturally, the more journeys you complete, the more income you will generate. We have lots of bookings but to maximise your income you will need to be flexible with the hours that you decide to be available to carry out passenger assignments offered to you.
Will I be paid cash for every journey?
We realise that as a self-employed contractor cash flow is important to you. There are two types of bookings at Emess Car Service. Our priority service is account based bookings. For these journeys you will not receive cash from the client, but will have an account with us and we will make weekly payments directly into your bank account.
Secondly, there are cash bookings. For these journeys, the passenger will pay you directly in cash when you have completed the journey.
Will I be self-employed?
Yes. All drivers are self-employed and are responsible for their own tax and national insurance. .
What will it cost me to work for Emess?
There are three shifts available: a) 6am-3pm b) 2pm-11pm c) 10pm-7am. Each shift is £75 per week. Double shift is £112.50 per week. Open shift is £150.00 per week. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
What do I need to become a driver?
You will need to provide us with your Driving Licence (card and counterpart), your PCO License, National Insurance Number & all your relevant vechicle documentation.
